  11. MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin - October 5, 1993 - Advanced Mobile Systems today
  12. announced NewtonTax™ Planner, tax estimating software for the Apple Newton
  13. MessagePad and Sharp ExpertPad.

  15. NewtonTax Planner was designed by CPA's for Newton assistance with client tax
  16. planning.  The software is easy to use and valuable to taxpayers who need to
  17. quickly gauge their federal individual income taxes.  CPA's, bankers, lawyers,
  18. doctors, business people - anyone who pays federal income tax and wants to know
  19. whether they'll have a tax payment or tax refund when their return is filed -
  20. could benefit from using NewtonTax Planner.

  22. "The what-if nature of NewtonTax Planner allows for easy changes to tax
  23. information, without the need to prepare entire forms.  Updated tax information
  24. is presented within seconds," said Vicky M. Meier, CPA and software developer.
  25. "This product takes full advantage of Newton portability.  Estimates can be
  26. done quickly and easily, whether at the client's office, during a luncheon
  27. meeting, or over the phone.  Its 'pencil and paper' approach allows the user to
  28. quickly write in tax information and see the results, without resorting to the
  29. busy-work of filling out the assorted tax forms."

  37. NewtonTax Planner retails for $49.95, and shipment is scheduled for October 15,
  38. 1993.   Sales orders can be placed with Advanced Mobile Systems at the Apple
  39. booth during the Laptop and Palmtop Expo in Chicago, October 7-8, 1993.  Sales
  40. orders may also be placed through AppleLink:  ADV.MOBILE,  America Online:
  41. MEIER.CPA  or faxed.  The software is available on Macintosh diskette for
  42. transfer into Newton using the Newton Connection Kit.   It will be distributed
  43. for Windows when the connection kit is available.

  46. Milwaukee, Wisconsin.   She runs an accounting practice specializing in
  47. financial, tax, accounting and computer services for entrepreneurs and

  49. accounting firms of Arthur Andersen & Co. and Deloitte & Touche.
